  my friends have shown me this link here in england showing the fox network pillaring the bbc in this news report.. but here the people and press are behind the bbc and call the government report a complete whitewash.

  the bbc is shown in russian and i have felt they have always reported the war very well, a lot better than fox news.. i think this reporter is a little harsh, how do you feel as americans?

  i was concerned about helping my 25-year pioneer sister to see the true light, as it were.

  well, she's been visiting for about a week and a half, and i finally got to talk to her about a few things.... .

  Hello.

  Thats good news that she has it inside her to question the Watchtower Society. Never give up hope.

  I have known people who were Ministerial Servants, I would have never thought that one day they would ask questions about the Society and be away from it now. These people gave the Watchtower many years of service, but now they have sen the light.

  Keep the faith, one day she will return to you.

  The love shown to you was misplaced.

  People shown me love until I left the congregation and was instantly cast aside. What kind of love is that? Conditioned love, who needs friends like these?

  I know what you mean and why you are confused, because sometimes you miss the Kingdom Hall and everything associated with it. I miss the kingdom melodies and the hope that I once had for the future. Now it is all gone, and I must face harsh realities. Theres a fine line between being a dreamer and a realist; sometimes you become so real that you lose all hope.

  But think of what you stand to gain. Think of getting your life back, being in control of your own life. You are no longer designed to parrot the opinions of your spiritual superiors, because you can think for yourself.

  Whatever you chose, be happy. But think logically; if you were to return, you would live in denial. After everything you have learnt about the Organization, why return now?

  I hope that whatever your choice, you are happy.

  they found the body of little carlie from sarassota, fl.. my heart goes out to her family.

  hopefully justice will be served swiftly since they already have the suspect.

  i am sooooo sad.

  and no doubt several prisoner action groups will demand he be treated humanly. But on a postive note, at least he is caught and unable to offend again.

  this morning i rode the bus with an elder from my former circuit.

  he asked if he would see me this weekend.

  knowing my ex-jw group doesn't meet until the 21st, i told him no.

  It's good to hear, but there is still a long way left until we see the back of this cult.

  Power of the Mind?

  i've been here on jwd since last august (?

  )....i've read and posted and begun some threads that addressed beliefs in the paranormal and spirituality and i'm truly wondering now.....it seems paranormal or spiritual experiences (even my own) are the products of what we've been led to believe....or been taught to believe.....do any of yall find this to be true for you?

  i can even remember having a pre-borg "out-of-body" experience, simply because i read a book on the subject and consciously decided to do it..... if so, what does the possibility of retraining our minds to actually believe only good things for ourselves and our loved ones hold for the future?.

  I have heard it said that many paranormal experiences are the product of the subconscious mind. If you really believe that something is the case, like Jehovah's Witnesses believe that spirits are out to get them and Satan is always looking for a new convert, then you are bound to fear the unknown, and believe that these things really exist.

  Its not real, but your mind makes it real.

  Thats basically what others have discussed with me.

  What did you think to the commentary? I thought that America and the UK were brothers in arms, but it seems only politically if you endure such a tyrade of abuse from your American cousins like that.

  I don't know about that.

  Most people still trust the BBC because they believe that the Government report was all lies and the BBC was the voice of the people during and before the war. I have been told most Brits are against war in Iraq and that the real people caught with their pants down is the British Government for claiming Iraq ever had Weapons of Mass Destruction.
